These are the nails I decided to go with...

These are the nails I decided to go with, since tomorrow I'm going to stop in at the goings-on at Lake Hypatia (Alabama Freethought Association).  I figured that everyone there would "get it."  LOL

I think they are cute, though pink isn't a color I tend to use a lot.  What better occasion, though, right?  🙂

I'm about to go and try to organize my polish...

I'm about to go and try to organize my polish.  I bought another box because my others were overflowing.  That will make 5 boxes of polish and one box of stamping stuff and other supplies.  Maybe that will take my mind of the crappy way I feel.  Later, everyone.

Spotty dots!

Spotty dots! 🙂

This is what I've done today: sat on my butt, and this manicure. And I'm SO OK with that because I worked my ass off cutting grass last weekend, so I get to have some down time now. 😃 I finally used the dotting tools that Shaun bought me almost 7 months ago. This was SUPER easy to do, and I think it's cute, though dots aren't my usual style. It reminds me of an egg, almost... like the ones you see in cartoons.

Anyway, I'll probably be doing more dot-related things now, just to see what all I can come up with.

Newspaper Nails!

Newspaper Nails!  This is the second time I've tried it, and this is the best it's come out.  This is supposed to be a really easy nail art thing to do, but it WAS NOT for me.  I don't know what is up with that.  It took me two days of trying with different newspapers and techniques to get it to come out as good as it did - which, btw, I'm not super-thrilled with.  Not for the work and effort I put in.  LOL  Anyway, I've always wanted to try it out, so now I have.  I guess dots are next!  🙂

I ❤ beetles. 🙂

I saved my favorite polish from Janet for last!  It's GREEN LIKE A JUNE BUG!  👀  I hadn't had a chance to use my little gold balls so here they are.  FINALLY.  😃  The whole paint job - color and lumpiness - makes me think of beetles.  I ❤ beetles.  🙂

Two more polishes from Janet...

Two more polishes from Janet - a very light blue with sometimes a pinkish sheen and a purple / blue color flip. I really like the colors separately, but I'm terrible at making them look good together. It always looks better in my head than actually done. Oh well - I'm wearing them anyway. 😃

Wet, rainy day nails. 🙂

Wet, rainy day nails. 🙂 This is another polish that Janet sent me. I really like the color - it makes me think beach-y thoughts. I also thought that water droplets just kind of completed the theme and dressed it up a little. So, that's all. Nothing too fancy, but it's fun to look at. 🙂

Two more colors that Janet sent me.

Two more colors that Janet sent me.  🙂  I really like the aqua - that one is really similar to a color I was considering buying online.  They have aqua everywhere, but this one has a shimmer that makes it really nice.  Of course, I really wanted the shimmery one.  😛

All I can say is that these are NOT my style.

Wow.  All I can say is that these are NOT my style.  This is the first time in my life I've ever worn a "French" type manicure.  My nail tips are generally pretty white on their own (unless stained by some wonky polish) so I have the French look when I have naked nails - which I usually end up covering with polish.  😛  I know that this is not my best photo ever, but my flash was making my tips not appear as they really do, which was making them totally NOT look nice with the stone.  In any case at certain angles and in certain lights this shit matches - as you MIGHT be able to tell.  This is another pretty color-flipping polish from the lovely Janet.  It goes from pink to purple to blue.  😃

This lovely color-flipping polish...

This lovely color-flipping polish is one that Janet sent me, and I ❤ it so! Greenish brownish goldish purplish - all at once! I had the HARDEST time last night trying to figure out which one of the 9 she sent me to use first! I guess that's not a bad problem to have. 🙂

I'm really into these studs, too. SUPER easy to put on, and dresses up any paint job without a lot of hassle. This is what I've got on today and until it starts chipping. I really like it! 😃

I don't expect these nails to get a whole lot of likes...

I don't expect these nails to get a whole lot of likes, for two reasons: 1) They are not super-creative or fancy, and 2) That is an Atheist "A." I really like the polish, though. It was a super-cheap Wet 'N' Wild, I think, and the color goes from the purple-y you see here to gray to green. So it was totally pretty. I'm thinking about picking up another bottle as back-up because I like it so much. 🙂

Btw, what do you guys think about my gnarly cuticle? Cat (from work) was feeling rather feisty on Tuesday and wouldn't get off my desk without a fight. Crazy thing. 😂😂😂

The wonderful Janet...

The wonderful Janet sent me some surprise polishes - 9 OF THEM!  We've been mailing nail goodies back and forth, and that's an awesome picker-upper.  🙂  We live so far apart that our areas don't seem to have a lot of the same stuff so it's always cool to get something that you can't find locally.  I'm going to have to think of something AWESOME to send her after today.  ❤
