I am so lazy right now.

I am so lazy right now.  I was so lazy last night, too.  I was gonna paint my nails and stuff, but I ended up playing Dr. Mario for hours.  LOL  I did, at least, take off my chipping polish and cut and file my nails.  Now I have naked nubby nails!  I didn't mean to get them quite that short, but they were really long and bugging me and they'll grow back, so whatever.  And I moisturized the holy shit out of them, which they desperately needed.  Maybe I'll do that again today because they look healthy and happy right now.  🙂

I do plan to paint them later, though.  And I have two ideas, but I have no clue which one I should try first.  Both involve tape.  One idea involves a possible holo polish, and the other idea would use my new texture polish.  I guess since it's stormy and not sunny, a using a holo doesn't make sense.  I think I've found my answer!  So, what color goes nice with mint green?  I suck at colors.  😐

So... the screen on my camera went out.

So... the screen on my camera went out. But I can still take photos. I just have to... point and shoot, literally. This is the best shot I could get, and it was the only one with all of my nails on it. I didn't realize before, but this one doesn't have an eye-hole to look through. So DANG. 🙁

Anyway, this is another holographic polish. This one came from bornprettystore when they were on clearance. It's more of a sheer coral color, but I layered it over a bright bubble gum pink to get this look. Holos are too pretty to cover up with a lot of other stuff, so I opted to put a flower water slide decal on one finger. Now I'm looking all girly today. 😃 And look at those rainbows! It shows the best on the middle finger. LOVE THAT. I'll be looking at my hands non-stop. 😃

Oh man. I FINALLY jacked up my nails...

Oh man.  I FINALLY jacked up my purple and blue holo nails in the shower.  Now I can paint them again.  😃

I was holding out since that stuff is hard to find.  I've probably had the same paint job on for a whole week now.  Madness.

So I'm obviously still hung up on that purple...

Gotta do some yard work so I thought I'd photograph my nails before I jacked them up. 😃

As for the blue, that is one of the China Glaze Hologlams I got on Friday. See the rainbow? It's so pretty in real life, but you can only see it in the sun and certain other lights. I'm gonna be looking at my hands ALL THE TIME with this stuff on my nails.

My three favorite things about summer: 1) Lizard walking, 2) holographic nail polish, and 3) 4-day work weeks. Woohoo!

Polish freaks:  Get yourselves to Sally's NOW. They have the China Glaze Hologlam collection on clearance. I wouldn't pay full price for the amount of holo they are, but for cheapsies - HELL YES.

I'm surprised there are any left - the last time CG did holos they sold out fast and became a collectors item. Like, people went "$30 on ebay would get you a half empty bottle" kinda crazy. (Not me - in case you are wondering.)

I'm guessing they didn't sell out because they were over-priced and hyped WAY UP - so much that they were kind of a let-down. Honestly, they don't look like much in the store in the bottle, but get them out in the sun on your nails - and BAM. Rainbows. 😃 People who aren't crazy into polish probably didn't have a clue what was so special about these. I don't recall the display being particularly impressive.

Also, tons of other manufacturers are making holos now - much stronger ones, even, though you mostly have to buy them from other countries. Not that I shop in fancy stores much, but the only other place I've found a good holo was at Ulta. And I didn't $15 love it so I didn't get it then.

Anyway, me and Shaun both got some cheap awesome polish today. I guess you know what I'll be doing tonight! Happy Friday to me! 😃

I'm not usually into stripes OR bows, but I thought these were SO CUTE.  Too bad I couldn't make the bow stay put for long.  I do too much stuff with my hands.  I knocked it off a thousand times.  😳

I've had the stamping plate with the mermaid on it for a while, but she's long so I had to wait until my nails were kind of long to fit her on there. I usually keep them a bit shorter than this because they start to get in the way.

Anyway, I'm really digging these. I hope I don't mess them up for a few days. I really like my scaly ring finger. I put some layers of flaky polish under the scale stamp to make it more realistic. I don't know if I did enough layers, but it looks pretty when it catches the sunlight. No complaints here! 😃
