Got my big order of parts in today.  Woo.  To everyone who was waiting on that so I could make you something:  We'll get it done right after Oxfordfest - I PROMISE.  I just need to survive that and then I can slow down and take care of everything / everyone I've neglected.

I have worked on jewelry this evening until my hands hurt.  I am so unbelievably sleepy and I promised Shaun that I would sleep.  So, I am done for the night and heading to bed.  I hope you all are doing well.  My whole day sucked totally.  It's time to put this day out of its misery.  Goodnight.  ❤

Heading to work.  Yes, this late.  I think stress levels have reached critical over here.  I'm not a very functional person at the moment.  Months of working so hard (making stuff, photographing stuff, editing photos, making words and putting them online, keeping up with what I have and don't have, what I need, what I need to do, etc. - there is SO MUCH that goes into this!) - and OxfordFest is so close... and I feel like I just can't even.

I don't think I've been this petrified since I bottle-raised 4 puppies from a week of age.  That was like having 4 infants who kept you up all night, who then turned into toddlers who pooped in the floor and then smeared it on your walls.  I remember not even being able to go in my house on my birthday that year.  I just couldn't make myself do it.  I fell asleep in my car in my yard because I just couldn't do anything else.

And that is kind of how I feel right now.  Except that I probably couldn't sleep even if I wanted to.  🙁

Wish me luck, y'all.  I just need to survive the week.  ❤

Hey friends:  I probably just invited an ass ton of you to OxfordFest.  I know that some of you may not be local (or that some of you may be injured - sorry Emily - it felt wrong not to invite you! ❤), so it's totally understandable if you can't make it.  If you know someone who would be interested in what I'm doing, please invite them for me.

I have only done smaller craft shows, so I have NO IDEA what to expect at Oxfordfest.  I feel like a lot more of the crowd who will be into what I am doing will be there, so maybe it will be awesome, but I don't know.  I have been a bundle of nerves and stress with all of this "trying to be prepared" stuff, so it would be great to just SEE some familiar faces in the crowd.  You really don't have to buy my stuff.  I just want to look at you.  LOL

I'm up wayyy too early on a weekend.  And I was up late last night, too.  I started about 10 necklaces earlier this week and I was going to finish them up last night and have them ready for today, but they are COMPLETELY ruined.  It was a new thing I was trying and I failed miserably.  LOL  No worries - I will get it right and you will see them soon.  Hopefully I can get something done this weekend.  That was just such a huge bummer.  😕

I have been Pinterest-ing like a mofo.  I think I have to walk away from the computer now.  Literally, my arm hurts.  LOL

So for those of you who didn't know (and I'm betting that's most of you because I haven't really announced it before now), Polish All the Things is getting a make-over.  I LOVE LOVE LOVE the meme, but more people like my jewelry than I ever thought would, so I started feeling like maybe this is getting more serious than I thought, and maybe I should have a more original look.  I do so love it when people recognize the meme and say "Oh, I'm a fan of Hyperbole and a Half, too!"  I think that's great and it's always nice to meet someone who GETS that, but I'm not really trying to freeload off of her recognition.  Plus, there are like, ZERO high-res meme photos, so that's not so great for business cards and banners and the like.  LOL

So, I've got an amazing new logo that I will upload soon.  That thing was a group effort.  LOL  There was one element I knew I wanted, then Shaun threw in an idea I could NOT pass up, and then my graphic design guy put it together in a magical sort of way.  I can't wait to show it to you.  If you are just too curious, check out the new profile pic on my Polish All The Things page for a little preview.  😃

Anyway, I guess that doesn't have much to do with Pinterest except that in lieu of all of this making-over stuff, I thought I should get out there more socially.  SO, I just updated a brand new Pinterest COMPLETELY AND TOTALLY, as well as added some stuff to my Etsy.  I also have a new Twitter, AND I will be working on Instagram, but not tonight.  I got new jewelry parts in, so it's time to play with that instead.

My large order of jewelry findings FINALLY shipped, so I will have that next week.  All of the stone painting I have been doing will finally pay off.  😃  Maybe all of you people who picked water marbled stones will finally get your jewelry.  🙂  I am pretty excited.

I am also excited that I don't have to wake up super early on Saturday.  I really came to enjoy doing the markets with my mom and brother, but I am NOT a morning person.  It was usually easier for me to not sleep at all than to get up that early.  Blegh.

We are doing the Chili Cookoff on Cheaha the 27th.  That sounds like a lot of fun.  I bet most of my friends will be at PetFest, but that's ok.  I thought about trying to do PetFest, but I decided against it.  I (purposefully) don't foster much these days, so I think I would feel out of place.  It's hard to go around the rescue crowd of people and not feel inspired to help.  But it's really not in my best interest right now.  I've got a full house.  Not that I would look the other way if I saw a creature in need, but you know. I am not gonna go and look for one.

Well, I think it's time I got in bed.  My sleeping schedule has been wayyy off... I'm not usually one to have trouble sleeping, but these days, I have a hard time falling asleep.  Then I sleep for 4 stinking short little hours, wake up and that's it.  Yuck.  I actually feel drowsy right now, so I think I am gonna take advantage of that.  Goodnight, people of the Internet.  ❤

Wearing one of my holographic triangle necklaces today. Gotta say, I'm not a fan. I have to look down to see the rainbow. I much prefer having something pretty on my hand so I can see it effortlessly. LOL

From left to right we have a flame water marble, 2 rainbow water marbles, a silver holographic triangle, a green holographic oval, a black holographic triangle, and a silver holographic oval.

If you think the holographic pieces look pretty now - just wait until you see one in real sunlight. They have a much more pronounced rainbow effect IRL - quite beautiful. I will try to get better photos this week. 🙂

I am gonna have to charge $20 for these necklaces or $15 without the chain. The water marbled pieces are SO HARD and the holographic polishes are expensive, so I think that's just what I have to do. I don't actually have chains for the larger pendants yet, but I will come up with something.

I have all this new stuff I'm working on and I haven't even had a chance to get it put up on my Etsy or anything. Updating all of that is so time-consuming and I can't stop painting long enough to do anything. 😳

Anyway, I'm happy about these. I have many more stones I haven't set, but I'm waiting for more of my findings to come in. In the meantime I'm gonna keep on painting. LOL

Watermarbled more stones.

I know this isn't 20, but some of the ones I made were as close as I could get to repeats for someone, so I didn't bother posting them.

The only oval jewelry findings I have are frilly looking ring bases.  I think some of these won't go well with that, so I'm looking into get other bases and some necklace pendants.

If you see one you love - tag it to claim it and we'll figure out what jewelry to stick it in.  These are one of a kind, so if you really want it don't let it get away.

So, I didn't sell a single thing, but I was not alone there.  No one under our tent did.  There just wasn't a lot of people out today.  I have no idea why it's busy some days and dead on others.

Aside from the heat / sun & not selling anything I didn't have a bad day.  The music was good, the food was good, and I got to hang out with my mom and brother, so that's always interesting.  LOL

I gotta say, hands down, that we are probably the most interesting tent where ever we go.  Mom with her corsets and roadkill jewelry, my brother with his whips and chains, and me with my nail polish jewelry.  Mom seems to have claimed Keith at this point, which is just as well because the art he does with spray paint is pretty unconventional, too.

Anyway, I think I'm gonna go and relax some and try not to feel like crap so I can clean my house and get started on some necklaces.  😃  I am super excited to see how they turn out!  😃

These are one of a kind, so if you see one that you can't live without - speak now or forever hold your peace!They are not only pretty, but labor-intensive and take a LOT of polish to create.

I got some of my jewelry parts in today. Mostly larger necklace stuff, plus a bunch of stones. Yay for that!

Unfortunately, I have nothing yet that fits the stones I water marbled, but I checked the status of my order yesterday and was told it was almost complete. So, I should be getting it soon. 🙂 

I had some giant ring bases and water marbled the stones that fit them, so hopefully I can get pics put up tomorrow. I'm planning to have those with me at the market this weekend, so that makes me excited.

Anyway, that's what I've been up to. Same as usual - just working, making stuff, and taking care of my animals. I hope that all of my friends are doing well. ❤
